| PH010 | Adolf Hitler cigarette card collectors album. Infamous official NSDAP publication, this example is complete with all stick-on photos. These images are from the Nazi party's official photographer Heinnrich Hoffmann. The book was the brainchild of propaganda maestro Joseph Goebbels, giving even more daily exposure of the Fuehrer to the masses. Format of the book was to look like a family photo album with Adolf as the revered father figure. It has been hailed by some as an 'overlooked propaganda masterpiece'. Orange hard-backed cover with ADOLF HITLER emblazoned in gilt to the front, it deals with the life and times of the Fuehrer with an introduction by Hermann Goering and a forward by Goebbels. Published in 1936. Many of the photos were unique to this album but in latter years have been reproduced for inclusion in many modern-day referance and history books. On display are three mobile anti-aircraft guns (I think?) with one being draped in a kriegsflagge, troops with armbands standing in column, RAD(?) band etc. Photos have an arrow marked to point at same person presumably the owner of the pix. Photos have been taken outside a large (armaments?) factory, and the ink-stamping on the reverse is from the Saar, so I'm guessing the ceremony is something to do with handing over of weapons straight from factory to a new unit.
